Creating Credit Card Password and Activation for Foreign Customers

Dear Customers,

Before you take your credit card for shopping, when you get your new credit card, first you need to create a password, then you need to activate your credit card.

1. Create a password for your Credit Card

There are three ways for creating Credit Card password:

1.1 The easiest way to create password is via ICBC Turkey Mobile Branch.

Steps to be followed are as below:

Step 1: Login to ICBC Turkey Mobile Branch.

Step 2: Go to “Settings” at the right end of the menu on navbar.

Step 3: Click “Change Card Password” on the list.

Step 4: Select the credit card that you will create password.

Step 5: Enter determined credit card password.

Step 6: Enter determined credit card password again and click “Done”

Step 7: After seeing the confirmation screen with the “Your credit card password has been changed” text written, log off. You may start using your credit card with the password you have determined.

1.2 You may also create password for your credit card via ICBC Turkey Internet Branch.

Steps to be followed are as below:

Step 1: Login to ICBC Turkey Internet Branch via www.icbc.com.tr

Step 2: Go to password transactions.

Step 3: Determine Credit Card password.

Step 4: Select Credit Card password.

Step 5: Enter new Credit Card password.

Step 6: Enter new Credit Card password aga

Step 7: Log off. You may start using your credit card with the password you have determined.

1.3 Another way to create password for your credit card is via ICBC Turkey Telephone Branch.

Steps to be followed are as below:

Step 1: Dial ICBC Turkey Telephone Branch from 0090 444 00 50.

Step 2: Press 9 for English.

Step 3: You will be connected to the customer representative.

Step 4: He/She will instruct you for the procedures. 

2. Activate your Credit Card 

There are two ways for activating your credit card:

2.1 By ATM

Step 1: Go to ICBC ATM.

Step 2: Enter your ICBC Credit card.

Step 3: Select your language.

Step 4: Enter your ICBC Credit card password.

Step 5: Select Credit card transactions.

Step 6: Select pin transactions.

Step 7: Select load pin.

Step 8: Log off.

Important Note: Do not forget to activate your credit card on ICBC ATMs. You can also use other banks' ATMs to activate your card. Once you activate your credit card, you will be able to make successful transaction on your first attempt. In case you forget to activate your credit card or you are not able to find any ATM, please follow below stated steps to activate your credit card.

2.2 Activate your credit card during the first transaction via POS.

Step 1: Once you go for shopping, the cashier will use POS to make transaction.

Step 2: He/she will ask you to enter your password for transaction on POS.

Step 3: Your transaction will be rejected in your first attempt. (You will be notified via SMS in English about the rejection)

Step 4: He/she will ask you to enter your password again for transaction on POS.

Step 5: Your transaction will be approved in your second attempt.

Step 6: Cashier will give you the slip of your purchase and your card back.

* Please kindly create your password after you receive your credit card.
